Well hopefully this thread will be an interesting one...

So I can see that many of us have DDR nicknames or "psuedo-names", so what is your story behind these names? Is it a long one? or is it just a name that you chose right on the top of your head?

Well here's mine:

My real name is Julian Alayon, but many of you know me here or in other DDR forums as maxninja114.
My story behind the name is cut up into three simple parts:
1) I put the "max" name on there because i LOVE the MAX series, ever since MAX 300 came out on DDRMAX.
2)The "ninja" in the name is because i like ninjas, they are quick and precise, just like me when i play DDR >_> (lol).
3) the "114" is the number of the apartment room that i used to live in, which was the place where i began my DDR journey.

I may think about changing my nickname soon, but so far this is my DDR nickname =) what's yours?

For ZukinMan/Zukin-Man:

I wanted to join DDR Freak, but wanted some kind of forum name that wasn't just a first or last name. I was a fan of the Zukin characters, so I wanted something referencing them in my name, but the thing was, all of the Zukins were female. Then I remembered something: Each Zukin character had one word in their name to describe them, like Princess-Zukin being a princess or Maid-Zukin because she was a maid.

Heck, why not? I'll call myself Zukin-Man because I have man-parts between my legs.

For Howie (as more familiar people know me):

This is normally a long, drawn-out story, but I'll try to condense it as much as I can.

There were some idiots at my high school who would rather assume my name is Howie than ask me myself. People at school start calling me Howie.

I go to the arcade. Some guys from my school show up. They call me Howie. The arcade manager and best DDR player at the time catches this.

I get better at DDR. Less experienced players want to know my name. Asking me is obviously too complicated, so they ask the manager. He tells them my name is Howie. No one knows who [insert real name here] is, but they know Howie is that new up-and-comer. Word gets around that "Howie" is becoming one of the better DDR players at the arcade.

Everyone starts calling me Howie. This annoys the crap out of me. I realize how painfully common my real first name is when it's frequently called out in crowded areas but never used to address me. I give in.

My name is Howie.

piepiepie75:

When I was in like 8th grade, I went to some site to get something. I don't remember what, but I had to register for it. I thought of a stupid username to use and I thought up of "piepiepie75". I started using that name everytime I had to sign up for some website and finally when I started using forums I began using it for those as well.

On arcade machines, I generally use "PIE" as my initials, but SuperNOVA won't allow "PIE" so I have to make it PIE75.

lol interesting stories, well in my arcades no one refers to me by a name or my nickname (probably because i am not that popular) so i just go by maxninja114 for DDR Extreme and below and MAXNINJA for DDR SN & DDR SN2.

btw, at my school, no one calls me by maxninja (except for some of my club members and best friends who play DDR with me), i'm called "French Toast". It's a short story actually, two of my best friends decided to name themselves after breakfast names, one is Pancakes, another is Waffles, and I and French Toast...they just gave me that name just cause XP.

Well, my twin brother made this name up 10 years ago.

Silver is part of our last name, cube is a mathematical error (he though cube was 2 in square roots)

he does not play video games anymore, but i use the name for everything because i got used to it:)

I'm a longtime fan of ReBoot, the first fully-CGI TV cartoon. I have a website called "Slack & Hash's Domain," Slack and Hash being a spoonerization of Hack and Slash, two robot characters on the show. Since Slack is my ReBoot avatar, and she's a robot, well...

It's kind of ironic, now that I think about it, that I use Slackbot as a DDR nickname. Slack does not have feet, only a trackball, so she couldn't dance if she tried.

My name doesn't have much mystery behind it. I am an admin here on the DDR Community Website, working for a company called Agora Games. My name is Elliott. Pretty straightforward.

My avatar however is of the Dark Knight. I'm always here to help, and you can call on me at anytime!

When I started playing ITG, I needed a 4 letter name to use for high scores. The first thing that came to mind was TOFU, because I'm vegan and a lot of my friends know me for that. My best friend at the time decided to start using KELP as her name, and soon afterwards another friend started to use RICE. I don't remember who used it but there was a FISH too. Eventually another friend used SUSHI when SuperNOVA came out. It was fun but none of those people play much now, sadly. But yeah, that's where my name comes from haha. I use it for everything now, even IIDX.

I don't really have a cool nickname. offblack was a screenname I chose for myself back in middle school, haha.

For DDR I put PERY as my name back when it was only 4 letters. PERY is also my pop'n name. On IIDX I go by DJ DIESEL though, partly because it sounds cool and partly because I like Diesel clothing.

It's time for dance.

Holy Jamaican Bacon, are you serious?

No one cares how great you think you are. I can AA and AAA most of the songs, too. SURPRISE, so can a lot of people, but how many of them do you see saying things like "OMGOMG DDR IZ LIEK SOOOO EZ!!! I HAV MAD SKILZLZ LOL!!i!i"

Oh, and I love this paragraph (if you can call it that) particularly...

IF I HAD A XBOX360 I COULD NOCK EVERYONE OFF THE CHARTS THE ONES ON THERE ARE GOOD BUT,, THEY NEED A LITTLE BIT OF WORK,, IT'S BAD TO PUT 0-98??? SCORES ON THE BOARD!

Because Universe 3 also takes all scores on lower difficulties into account and no one to my knowledge has a score inputted for every single song on every single difficulty, then theoretically, ANYONE can knock everyone off the charts. You're not a special little individual, and you're certainly not pro.

Also, why would you say it's bad to put scores as low as 98---- on the board? They may not be perfect, but those are good scores. I apologize if not every single player out there meets His Majesty's standards of quality, but not everyone AAA's every song they play every time they play it.

Let's not forget that, provided Uni3 scores are uploaded to the site the same way Uni2 scores were, scores are uploaded automatically from the players' Records screens. If someone cared enough to appease Mein Fuhrer by not uploading their oh-so-offensive scores, do you realize that would mean never playing DDR while connected to XBox Live ever again?

Later, when i started new game in pokemon Saphire in GBA, i put kry as my name, but i try to put some letters, and , without reason, i made "kralde"

Kralde is a nick created by me xD

If you put kralde in google, i appeared XD

Oh haha! Maybe.

Hey Zukin, were you able to get the full 1,000 Gamerscore in Universe 3?

Because Konami never adressed the Avatar problem yet :(

Between work, recording videos, and my own procrastination, I haven't even gotten all of the "outfit" achievements. I got as far as getting 200 female outfits, and I took a long break from the game. Grinding the same challenge for money gets repetitive pretty quickly, but when I get back to it, I'll let you know if I run across the same shortage of outfits on my game that you did.

The ones I'm missing are all of the achievements for male outfits, the achievement for all female outfits, Full Combo'ing Beginner/Basic/Difficult, the Street and Club challenges, and finishing How To Play.
