Out of any theme parks you've ever been to, which ones are your favorites?

Here's mine, in order:

1. Busch Gardens Virginia: I went there once back in 2003 and I really loved it, and I'm going again in a couple of weeks (yay!). They have tons of great roller coasters and fun other rides.

2. Six Flags Over Texas: I went there in 2004, and I liked it a lot. Good roller coasters, and a lot of fun other rides.

3. Disney World: Yes, I know it's childish, but really, when I went there in 2002, I thought it was great, and I'd probably still love it today. No extreme hardcore roller coasters and thrill rides, but a ton of really good mellow rides.

4. Universal Studios Orlando/Islands of Adventure: Great roller coasters and thrill rides, and good mellow rides. Only reason I didn't rank this higher is because most of the food places serve really crappy food (minus the Finnegan's restaraunt and a couple of other places) but otherwise it's a fun theme park.

5. Six Flags New England: I went there in 2005, and I remember having a really good time. Good rides all around.

6. The Great Escape: The closest out of all the ones I've listed at about 45 minutes away. It's not mindblowingly amazing, but it's definitely a good theme park. Pretty good roller coasters and thrill rides and decent mellow rides.

Lagoon (Utah). This place was great, because my and my friends went there about four times a year (On various school and youth field trips). The best time was during halloween, as they would have scary monsters run around and scare people.

Disneyland (CA). If you go there on a weekday in the middle of fall or spring, it can get pretty empty, and then it's REALLY fun. It's just a classic place, and the rides and things to do there are seemingly endless. I'm going there again this fall, can't wait!

That's basically all the places I've been that I really like :P.

I personally love Disneyland in CA, the rides are pretty fun, you can rack up a big crowd playing DDR, and the machine is pretty good too, and they also have an Extreme. Like Pie said, great to go during a weekday, i'll probably go in 10 days or so...

You can get a big crowd playing DDR at pretty much any theme park, at least in my experience. I remember last year when I went to Universal Studios I got a huge crowd while doing Cryosleep on Expert on the ITG2 dedicab they used to have. It was so huge Billy Fuccillo would be jealous. I guess I was just playing at the right time, lol. But yeah, Disneyland seems nice. I've never actually been there, but from what I've heard it does sound good.

I guess my favorite is Islands of Adventure in Florida.

Any theme park is cool unless it's really hot outside.. augh. lol.

I love hot weather, so I honestly don't care if the theme parks happens to be in a place like the south where it's pretty much always hot.

I have to agree with Silvercube on this one.  Islands of Adventure in Orlando, Florida is my favorite theme park.  The Spiderman and Incredbile Hulks rides are truly state of the art, and the Dueling Dragons Rollercoaster is one of a kind.

This thread makes me want to go to a theme park, I haven't been to one in some time.

The Hulk roller coaster, the Dueling Dragons, the Men in Black ride, and the Spiderman 3-D ride are pretty much the best rides there. When I went there last year, I went on both sides of the Dueling Dragons (blue and red) at least 4 times.

Yeah!

That's really cool you can enjoy hot weather. I don't do well in humidity.. I have Canadian blood in me, lol.

I loved the "Tower of Doom" .. it's so scary!

Glad to see others enjoy Islands of Adventure as well.

Incredible Hulk, front row seats.. wee!

ok I'm a Florida guy, so yes i have been to literally every theme park in Florida...but i'm not going to list them from best to worst or the such, i'm just going to list them as the ones i first visited.

Busch Gardens (Tampa Bay):The first theme park i have ever been too, and i still frequently visit, i can tell you i have been there more than 200 times in my lifetime, i LOVE the place (even though the rides are getting kinda stale to me now...even the new one which is a floorless, dive coaster names Sheikra) but i still love it!...sadly, they never upgraded their DDR Extreme to either SN or SN2...or did they? have to check sometime next week >_<

Adventure Island (Water Park RIGHT next to BG):Can we include water parks too? yea that place is fun, and so far is the only water park i go to...it's a fun place during the summer.

Sea World (Orlando's water-themed park): It's pretty much a huge aquarium with alot of sea animals and fish...plus a roller coaster and water ride and other stuff...not really a FUN place, but it does have it's up's and downs >_>

Universal Studios (Orlando): BEST PARK I HAVE BEEN TO, it has changed since i got there for the first time, but it has gotten BETTER! The Mummy, MIB, the nicktoon ride thing, oh man...good times, plus the arcade =D

DisneyWorld (Magic Kingdom): i went when i was a kid and OMG, i loved it, i hated the Haunted Mansion (but now that i'm older, i laugh at throughout the ride), i loved the fireworks at the end of the day and stuff...and who can't forget SPACE MOUNTAIN!!! >_<

DisneyWorld (MGM Studios/Disney's Hollywood Studios): when i was a kid, it was boring, but as i grew older i started to like the place, the Rock'n Roller Coaster ft. Aerosmith, the Tower of Terror (FUN!!), Star Wars ride, uuummm and other ones...

Disney World (Epcot): i only went there once when i was young, i havent been back there since, but when i was a kid i liked some rides, but others made me cry (yes...others made me cry) and this was during an elementary school trip lol. But now i WANT to go back again to ride the Test Drive ride, Mission To Mars, and to see the fireworks display at night.

Six Flags Over Georgia (...in Georgia): i went there once when i was young, soo don't remember much of it because i wasn't tall enough to ride the big rides T__T, but i plan to go back there soon...and this time ride that one roller coaster where you stand up through the whole ride (it's crazy, i didn't know they had that one when i was a kid).

Islands Of Adventure (right next to Universal Studios in Orlando): this is by far, my top best theme park...Spiderman ride, The Hulk, Tower of DOOM, the rip falls, Popeye river raft thing, Jurassic Park(lol), Dueling Dragons, and yes, even the Suess Landing...really fun places to go and check out.

Now this one isn't a theme park, but it sure as hell felt like one =):

Disney Quest (interactive indoor theme park): it's basically a HUGE *** arcade inside a three story building, and for only 30 bucks, you can enter and get into almost any arcade game FOR FREE (and i also heard it got SN2...) plus other cool stuff like virtual reality games, create your own roller coaster ride, then RIDE IT( i created three and the rating was at the highest rating. woot), create your own toy, free wi-fi, cheesecake factory, and i think laser tag was on there, but i'm not really sure...

And that's about it, i plan to visit Animal Kingdom, Typhoon Lagoon, Blizzard Beach (and to ride the tallest vertical slide in the world...*shudder*), Aquatica (Seaworld's Water Park), and others that i might have forgotten...yep, this is what happens when you live in Florida, the nation's capital for theme parks =D

I have not been too many theme parks in my life.

I went to Big Surf (water park) and Castles & Coasters (smaller theme park) in Arizona. They were cool.

When I moved to Florida, I only went to Islands of Adventure and Busch Gardens. Busch Gardens I did not like very much.. it was horrible service - everyone lost things there and the items were never found (even though we reported it and filled out cards)  The rides are just old.. and seeing a bird's eye view of the whole theme park was nice, I guess. But it just did not have the same excitement as Islands of Adventure. Probably because the "themes" in Islands of Adventure is more easy to relate to.

I live like 4 hours away from them, so it's not easy visiting them. I have not been to any theme parks in Florida since 2002.

In 2006 I went to the Six Flags in Chicago - its actually in Skokee, Illinois. It was a nice theme park, but it was outdated.

Islands of Adventure just has something for everyone there. Jurassic Park rides, Dr. Seuss, X-men, etc. Plus the water rides are fun too :)
