Since I just updated my avatar, I thought I would use the Off-Topic forum to talk about my favorite superhero ever, Batman!

The Dark Knight, the latest flick to showcase the caped crusader is premiering all over the world, and it has made an absolutely huge splash here in the United States (Largest Opening Weekend Ever, Fastest to 200 Million, Biggest 5 day opening, etc.).

YES i am planning to go see this movie, but im doing it ALL out,

Here in Tampa, Florida we have an IMAX Theater known as the IMAX Dome, it's basically a dome-shaped movie theater that is HUGE. I saw I Am Legend and Speed Racer on it and OMFG, it blew my mind away...

The only problem is that i have to wait until August 29th for it to come out on that theater, but the wait WILL be worth it (my brother's g/f works there, she can get me free tickets to it =D ).

I am dieing to see it in IMAX.  You are one lucky guy.  The closest IMAX theatre to me is like 3 hours away, and I don't have the time to do that type of traveling.  It will seriously be worth the wait, it is one good movie.  I'm curious to see what other DDR folks thought of the movie.

I went to see The Dark Night a couple weeks ago. It is a really great movie, even better than Batman Begins, and I thought that movie was great. Heath Ledger did an exceptionally good job being the Joker, I think he was perfect for the role. The whole movie was exceptional in my opinion.

I absolutley loved Jack Nicholson as the joker in the original Batman, but Heath Legdger truly knocked it out of the park.  I remember when it was first announced that Heath Ledger was going to be playing the joker, I was quite nervous that he wouldn't be able to pull it off, but boy was I wrong.  I hope he pulls in an oscar for best supporting actor, that would be quite cool.  I would absolutely love to see The Dark Knight as a whole be nominated for Best Picture.  That would truly move super hero films into the next level (where they should be already).
