What are some trends that make you angry?

- So called "skater" kids who wear their mom's/sister's pants. If you want to wear tight pants, just wear Levi's 514's or something. Girl pants look utterly stupid on guys.

- Wannabe gangster trash who wear huge shirts, pants down to their ankles, baseball caps tilted to the side etc. I'm not just referring to wiggers, I'm referring to both wiggers and some black people (NOT ALL).

- Guitar Hero fanboyism. The game is fine, but what ****es me off about it is the fact that Guitar Hero fanboys think that Guitar Hero was the first music game ever made, and believe that games like DrumMania, Guitar Freaks, and even games not related to guitar or drums such as IIDX, Pop'n Music, and pretty much every other music game are Guitar Hero rip offs.

There are many more that **** me off, but those are the main 3.

Also, I do not want this turning into a huge flamewar. If you're going to flame other people, do it somewhere else, not in this thread.

The idea that people get 'mad' at others for how they dress.

-Soulja Boy and his amazing ability to completely degrade rap into a few words in a "chorus" repeated over and over. I mean, I even gave him a chance. I listened to a couple more of his songs, and unfortunately Crank That was the "best" one.

At least Donk mixes well with Fascination ~eternal love mix~.

-Emo (the culture). Whiny bunch of stuck-up goth wannabes.

-Hollywood, or rather their trend in remaking movies that have no business being remade.

Those are the three that come to mind for me right now. I'll post more later. x3

Typical Emo/Goth: "I'm unique."

^No, no you aren't.

Another thing that ****es me off: Hollister, Abercrombie and Fitch, Aeropostale, American Eagle.  Have fun paying $70 for a pair of jeans idiots.  :X

I agree with you entirely on Guitar Hero. I hate it with a passion, and people that think they're the best ever for playing deserve to be smacked.

As far as everything else goes, we all have our opinions. You never know who could be reading, especially on the internet. I'd prefer not to say something that could upset someone I don't even know, lol.

Guitar Hero....i don't hate it, but i just don't undertand why people(here at my school for instance) prefer GH than DDR...i have GH I and II, and i just play them for fun, but i know people that take it to the "next level"...and what upsets me the most is that they some people (once again, people that i know) say that GH is like DDR...for your fingers...

....rrriiiiggghhht, although yes you do hold a button down and fret on the strum button, i don't think you actually move around, in fact, if i can play GH siting down or on my bed, i bet ANYONE can do that too! what kind of "exercise" do you get out of that? It even got to a point where this one kid came up to me at my school (because i'm the DDR club president at my high school) and asked me to see if i coul be the "head" of the "video game club" which would include Halo 3, Call of Duty, and Guitar Hero (they would be presidents for their games, but i would be HEAD president for it...). I responded to him saying "hey, if you have the teacher and the resources for it, take it up to administration, but i must warn you, i highly doubt they would accept the idea for a GH club....

Although a GH club would be nice, it was sad to see kids (yea i got another guy saying the sae thing) come up to me, the person who started DDR at their high school, and use THAT excuse to create a sort of a "branch" for other video games to be played...-__- *sigh*.

Point is? Guitar Hero people that claim it is a way to "exercise" should REALLY think about that fact...although people jump around and toss their uitars in the air..."to look like a rock star" lol

Whenever someone tells me that my Bemani games are "like Guitar Hero" I always end up telling them the history of music simulation games.  Guitar Hero is not a bad game; I just think if you are going to credit something for being innovative, you should give it where it is due.

It's time for dance.

I don't understand why it is "cool" to act like you are "too cool to participate." --grumble. It drives me absolutely nuts! People don't know how to just get out and have fun anymore! They are so afraid that someone is going to laugh at their mistakes and failures... This applies to so many things! DDR and Karaoke Revolution are two of my more relevant complaints, but I see kids and adults do this just about everywhere and with just about everything...

MaxNinja: People flock to GH over DDR because it contains songs they recognize and songs they already know they like. While I'm sure anyone could find at least 1 song in DDR that they like, they see no reason to do it and I can't really blame them.

Also Toyo if you think that's bad, put soulja boy over Daikenkai. I think there is already a youtube of it up somewhere.

Haha, yeah, I know. I've also heard of a connection between the "chorus" of Crank That and "Eeny Meeny Mynie Moe".

Seriously, try singing EMMM in time with Crank That. They're onto something. x3

I refuse to listen to that song (soulja boy). I can honestly say I've never heard it or seen the dance that goes with it. The fact that it is(was?) so popular says a lot about popular culture in america or what not.

Lol @ the Daikenkai thing. Maybe that's why I don't like that song?

I have to agree with the Guitar Hero rants.  I was initially excited about the first game when it came out.  Now that it's hugely popular among everyone, I really couldn't care less about it.  That, and I don't really like metal or rock music...  There's something about the following that GH and Rock band have that I just can't stand.  I guess it's due to them all thinking that GH vs. Rock Band is the only thing to talk about in the music games genre.  Hello?!  What about the all of the awesome games that paved the way for these new ones?   What about Guitar Freaks?  WAAAY more fun!  Anyway... that's just my opinion, and I'm glad it meshes well with most of yours.

Americans in general are scared cry babies. I hate to say that, but we are. On top of that, many of them try to hide the fact by making fun of others because they feel scared or intimidated. It's rediculous.

True statement, but only if it applies to public viewing, most people would be more comfortable playing in their home, but i play both home and outside. But other people are just scared of getting "embarrased" by playing something that is not just new (as in trying something new out), but (OMG!) it can help you lose weight! =O I am a walking testimony of that (lost a total of 30lbs. playing DDR).

* Saggy pants. When you wear pants that are falling off, you look like a dumb***.  If you play DDR with saggy pants, you are a double dumb***.

* The pity-poor-me, "the world owes me happiness" attitude.  Guess what, if nobody gets along with you, then maybe it's not because you're the innocent victim and everyone else is a mean ol' jerk. The world isn't here to provide you with happiness, so if you're over 14 stop whining and do something about it.

It drives me nuts that people think guitar hero was first, Guitar Freaks was most definetly first :D (not to mention, I like the soundtrack much better, and I stink at 5 keys, so GF suits me better)

1.  I hate the Guitar Hero craze, mainly because I play guitar for real and can't get my mind around the fact that all of the keys are at the top of the neck.  Honestly.  If I get to a high note, my hand instinctively drops to where it  should be fretted, not where the controller has it.

2.  The 'gangster/rap' craze is so debilitating to society in general, and disgusting to think of.  The entire genre of hip-hop has been warped to such an extreme by the blinged-out rappers who treat women only slightly better than Saddam Hussein did.  The only difference is that, in rap music, the women don't wear anything, whereas over in the Middle East women couldn't be seen in public.

3.  "Going green."  This ideal has been overblown by every single company in competitive existence.  How?  Organic makeup, organic clothing, organic food.  One is edible, but they're all being promoted for being grown the same way.  It may be just me, but if I'm eating a carrot that was grown the same way my underwear was, I'm not sure I want the carrot.

4.  Ehtanol fuel.  While this does work with my "going green" rant, I'll put it separate.  Why?  Because it's NOT actually doing anything good for the environment.  Let me break it down.  Ethanol is made from corn, which is now being grown in place of wheat and rice, leading to famines in third world countries and rising prices for other crop-based foods.  Ever wonder why pizza prices went up?  Next, to turn the corn into ethanol, the manufacturers send it through refineries that are run by the gas we're trying not to use.  And last, ethanol is as expensive as regular gas, if not moreso.

I may have strong opinions, and I may have gone a little further than pop culture with my rant, but it's the truth.  I just want it out there.

Even DDR noobs who try to play 9s and up on an unmodded soft mat deserve to be heard.  Power to the people!

DDR Supernova Series.... ohshi! don't ban me.  I'm sorry, but in my opinion, it's a step back from ITG, keep in mind that I started playing on Supernova 6 months ago. Now I'm FCing ITG 11's, have a solid grip on ITG 12's, and am coming obnoxiusly close to passing 13's.

But I do also agree with the 'gangster' trend.

I'm having fun with my Pump It Up GX, currently running NX, to be upgraded to Pro.
