Before I begin, I'd like to say thanks to Konami for creating this site.  It's nice to finally see an official online community with official Konami support for DDR players in the United States - something that I've been wanting to see since I began playing DDR in 2002.  I've taken some time to peruse the site, and so far, I feel that it has a lot of potential for success.  However, I believe that some elements could use some work, and that there are a few things that could and should be added to it. I also have some questions that I'd like answered.

 Firstly, I think that this site could really use some regional subforums - subforums dedicated to users from a specific area of the USA to post, introduce themselves to others from their region, issue challenges, post about upcoming events, etc.  As it stands, everyone all uses the same forum, and there's no subforum for me to make posts directed towards my local peers.

 Secondly, there seems to be way too much of an emphasis on DDR Universe 2 and not enough on the arcade line of DDR.  Only Universe 2 scores are available in the score tracker, we cannot select anything but Universe 2 songs as our favorite song, only Universe 2 characters can be set as our avatars, and it seems as though Dance Crews are ranked only by their progress in Universe 2.  Why is this?  Where is the support for DDR SuperNOVA 2?  Arcade games have much more of a competitive base than home versions, so I see no logic in restricting so much of the site to just one Xbox 360 version of DDR.

 Lastly, I see that there is a subforum titled "Events, Promotions, and Tournaments."  Does this mean that there is finally hope for official US DDR tournaments held by Konami?  I'd love to see a national-scale DDR tournament by Konami, but I'm not holding my breath.  I'd love to be wrong, though.

I would suggest a REAL message boards platform. This is like some weird Java trash =|

Suggestion/fix list.

- Typing in forum messages is weird for a start. Javascript isn't it?

- The site doesn't have cookies or anything, I have to re-log in everytime I visit.

- The info on the right top (random vid) of the video page doesn't change, tho the video on the left does.

- Score tracker for Arcade (and maybe home) versions.

- The crew limit is 10 + founder. Why? 

- Konami doesn't know what Australia is.

As for the emphasis on Universe 2, yes that is what all ranks and scores are based off of.  Don't worry though because we plan on integrating stat tracking with future releases, so Universe 2 is really only the beginning.  We're also aware of the Crew size limit and we will change it shortly.  I can't really say much about the "Events, Promotions, and Tournaments" forum at this time.  Keep checking back for the latest information though. Regional subforums is an interesting idea and is definitely something we will consider.  Finally, as for the video page issue, djTAKA, we are also aware of the problem and are working on a fix.

We're always working to improve the site and the forums, so thanks again for your opinions.  We'll read your concerns so constructive criticism and opinions are always appreciated.

The Crew limit and video page bugs should both be fixed now.  Please let me know if you find anything still to be working incorrectly.

There is no on-screen notification when you receive a new Private Message.  Someone sent me a message yesterday, and I didn't even notice until I checked my inbox while sending a message to someone else.  Can you fix this?

The crew limit problem is not fixed yet.

How do I post something on the Health and Fitness forum? I want a thread dedicated to helping people start a fitness plan involving DDR.

The Crew limit has been increased to 100 members (plus the leader).

As for the Health & Fitness forum - we would like for that be a display case of sorts for news reports, studies, and ideas relating DDR and how it promotes a healthy and fit lifestyle.  We're concerned with keeping it clean and organized.  This is not to say that we do not appreciate community health and fitness information.  If you have information or stories you feel would be appropriate for the section then feel free to send me a PM and let me know.  I'll look it over and add it to the Health & Fitness forum if it is appropriate.

PM Notification - I agree that this would be a useful feature.  We will certainly consider adding it.

Now the "Join Dance Crew" button is gone. But the crews still say "Recruiting"...

The reason you don't see a Join button is most likely because you are in a different crew already.  The button will appear to people who aren't in a crew yet.

It would be nice to see a Regional forum on here.
