Hi all, I have a question.

I see a few topics have been locked for containing links to copyrighted material, mainly StepMania simfiles of Bemani songs. However, I see on the videos page that YouTube videos of Bemani songs like this one of the song "Saturn" from the Japanese PS2 version of DDR SuperNOVA2 and this one of the song "I Wanna Be Your Star" from DDR Universe 2 are allowed to exist on this site. This cannot be an oversight on the part of this site's moderators -- I see that AgoraPerry, a moderator, has commented on the latter video. Konami, how do you respond to this?

They're videos, not mp3s.

It is illegal to share copyrighted data that you do not own the rights for through the forums.  For example you can't share mp3s of Bemani songs or Konami stepcharts.  It is okay to showcase Bemani songs and videos through our video section however.

Posting song banners from DDR/DS songs is prohibited , too?

How is posting a stepchart a violation? Anyone could just watch it and copy it down. It doesn't instanly infer that you're illegally dowloading it.

its not illegal if you put it on here, its actually like saying "here your game" :). Its not really much differnt from when you show gameplay of yourself. The BG and Stepcharts are both there, so its not much differnt then having a MP3 and banner in my opinoin. However its not my company so if KONAMI does not want that, thats their decision.

We should also note that it is *our* song (I Wanna Be Your Star).. and the Video belongs to *Gosha* who has posted it for you all to watch. So no .. it is not infringement.
