Seriously, that would help a lot. This Java board is just sad, really. Pretty easy too.

I second this thread. This has got to be one of the most basic forums I've ever seen. I recommend phpBB ^_^  I'd even take Simple Machines Forums over this ^^

That's a bad idea if they're linking the boards to stuff like high scores. It's cheaper and easier to pay a programmer to write something new from scratch than to pay them to learn phpbb and write what would essentially end up being board mods for it.

??? How so moose? ITGFreak does it just fine.... oh yeah, konami thinks that if anything is remotely similar to ITG that they'll loose their credibility as a company. Therefore they give us everything that ITG isn't easy stepcharts, off sync stepcharts, crappy covers (faint, I'm looking directly at you), no hands, no mines, lack of good XMods (CMods suck, so keep up the good work by not including them) etc.

you mean itgfreak and groovestats? Groovestats is a TOTALLY SEPERATE chunk of software. It requires a different login and is on a different site and isn't integrated at all with itgfreak. Groovestats even has its own forums now but even that requires a different login from the groovestats tracking system.

How would it be easier for a programmer to do it from scratch? 'cuz then they don't have to read over several hundred pages of "phpbb3 for n00bs". It might not be 'better' depending on your point of view, but with any halfway competent programmer it's always easier to get them to whip something up from scratch that will work with all your systems instead of teaching them 8 different systems written by 50 different people in 13 countries and asking them to get it to all work together.

But it can be done. And this forum software does suck....
