Who isn't excited? Haha
I'd love to discuss this, but it'd help to have a spoiler warning since the full roster has been known for awhile now. Does anyone have any objections to spoilers here?

thats all you need to know
If you wanna talk about it with spoilers, you can go onto the site I mod for. (see sig) We have an entire board on it, including a spoiler thread, and complete with a FC thread in which we're counting down the days to the Midnight Launch. :D (I'm sorry if it sounds like I'm advertising, just though you guys might want to post some FCs and get some brawls goin. :P)
Ha... I go to enough forums as it is. =P
I'm just wondering if anyone cares about characters getting spoiled, because there are some good Youtube channels like getyourtournament for watching players that know what they're doing, and they have the full roster of course.

I'm so excited for Brawl I can hardly see straight. The wait is almost over... and what a ridiculously long, difficult wait it's been. I can't believe it's only mere days away. :D
I am PUMPED and I hope there's a midwest tournament to kick it off right. =D
Man once my best friend gets his copy (he pre-ordered it, thank god), im going over his houe and PLAY THAT S***!!! XD!!

I think I'm one of the few people who isn't excited for this game... While I love the idea of a fighting game with characters across many different IPs, I never quite got used to the layout of the gamecube controller and the setup of the game. There's just something....off about it. Who knows, maybe the Wii controls will feel more natural and the damage system will be improved.
Taking/dishing out damage always seemed so random. Somtimes, it would take 10000000000 hits to finish someone off, and sometimes only 3 or 4. And this was using the same set of moves... I just don't get this game. (although, I really want to "get" it, because then I might purchase it)
Well, ever since i played Super Smash Bros. for the N64, i got hooked to the game. i don't know, but a game that involves different characters from many other nintedno video games battling it out on ONE game is just something thats very unique. Then the Gamecube came out and Melee was all the rage then because now you have a huge selection of characters, both good and evil, and you have Adventure Mode and All-Star mode too. Now with Brawl you have an in-depth Adventure Mode (The Subspace Emisary) and battlegrounds that are interactive (The Halbrid...the ship that Meta Knight owns) and Pict-o-graph battleground, and ANOTHER WIDE selection of characters. i just cant wait to play this game

Nonslaught7: Some attacks do different damage depending on what part connects, and attacks get weaker when used repeatedly. Also if you get hit, you can affect your launch trajectory depending on what direction you're holding. There are a lot of things to keep in mind, so if you're new to the games then there's probably a lot going on that you haven't noticed.

"attacks get weaker when used repeatedly"
Wow, that must be what was happening when I played! Thanks for the info. I would find an attack that would work well, so I would use it over and over again hoping to actually win a round... (against my uber-leet brother)
I'm getting closer and closer to wanting this game, and I just might end up getting it...
No problem.
Yeah, the real fun part is that if you use the same attack all the time, he knows what you're doing and will learn to avoid it. Even if you know an attack works, try to mix in other moves to keep him guessing wrong. It's all mindgames, haha. Connecting with other attacks will help raise back the power of that first attack, too.
Of course, that's just if you're trying to win the current match. If you're missing information about what certain attacks do, it's better to just mess around with them instead of trying to win. That's easier to do if you have the game!

I got this game on launch day.
If anyone would like my friend code to play a few online matches, let me know : )
