I didn't even know GF was ported over here. Wow. I was assuming the drums were the reason myself but I guess it's the game as a whole? Did the liscencing of the plastic guitar not get revised for Rock Band for Harmonix when Guitar Hero went to ActiBlizzard/Neversoft or something?

UPDATE: Harmonix Responds, "Konami's actions are extremely surprising."

No, because Konami was in the right.

P.S. embarrassment

Dude, I was being sarcastic and I purposely spelled embarassment wrong. I was just trying to imitate ITG fanboys.

Anyway, I don't know what to think of this lawsuit. Konami was right to sue Roxor even though ITG was a good game in it's own way.  It wasn't a smart idea to make conversion kits without Konami's permission.

And the people who made MTV Drumscape (Devecka Enterprises) could probably sue every music video game maker because of some dumb patent they have. The Drumscape patent covers all kinds of music games, not just drums (at least from what I've heard). Devecka Enterprises could sue Konami, Andamiro, Namco, Harmonix, Neversoft, or pretty much any music game developer you can think of. They just haven't bothered to sue anyone.

Well, sarcasm is hard to notice on the internet.

Ever heard of Rock Revolution?

The licensing was probably carried out by RedOctane, for obvious reasons. When the split occurred, Activision kept the licensing, but apparently Harmonix did not do the same.

"Ever heard of Rock Revolution?"

Not GF, DM, KR or any other BEMANI. It's not even being developed by Konami, they're only publishing it. Rock Revolution, until stated by Konami otherwise, is it's own entity for now.

Indeed.
