XD!! yea thats right...the old classic game with the infinite # of enemies popping around at every corner, fighting guys, aliens, and machine guns! =D Although when i first played it i didn't get any background info on it, it just put me into the battlefield...but what fun. This game is just a pure classic title on the NES, and i think one of the best time wasters ever.

I never played Contra 2 (or w/e it was) but i DID play Contra 3...THAT was the shiz, graphics alot better, over-the-top camera (which reminds me of the old Grand Theft Auto games), and VERY unique bosses. Sad thing though was that i never beat it =(. Well thats it for me, how about you? what do you guys think of this game?

Contra may be the first game I ever played.  I've been playing games ever since I can remember.  I started out playing an NES at my babysitter's house when I was very young and the game that sticks out the most in my mind from that time period is Contra.  I specifically remember the pseudo-3D corridors and having a blast just blowing things away with the crazy weapons.  Ah memories...

indeed...and the 8-bit music that came with it was just...AWESOME! (during that time lol)

i have contra on my xbox 360.. its hardcore.. still have yet to beat it in co-op..

contra's alright, I prefer rush n attack for fun co op play

I've only played the first one, but I love it to death.  I still take great pride in the fact that I'm the only one on my XBL friends list that has gotten the achievement for beating the game without continuing.

Also, I love Contra (Medley Mix) on DDRU2, especially the BASE1 segment.
