Pump It Up PRO, the popular westernized version of the famous 5-panel Korean dance simulation game, and long time rival of Dance Dance Revolution is going to get a sequel, Pump It Up PRO 2. Not much is known right now about this new american arcade dance game (which I believe to hit arcades this fall), is going to make its preview at the American Amusement Machine Association Expo in Las Vegas this March. Here is what is known about it!

Purple Theme Interface which looks not all that different from the first PIU PRO (which was blue and silver).

Songs will include:

Allegro Con Fuoco - DMashura

Breathing You In  - [zircon] feat. jillian goldin

Don't Don't Go Away - FOXY

Gargoyle - Saxion7

Memory - onSlot

Photosynthesis  - [zircon]

All in all I am stoaked as I did enjoy the first Pump It Up PRO. Found it shocking to find DM Ashura and Sanxion7 each with some of their best works on this project and now realizing that they are unlikely to showing up on any future BEMANI games ever again.

I am like 7 different persons and I never know who I am going to be from one person to the next. So don't be surprised.

IMO, this game has a good chance of being the top dance game of 2010 in terms of new dance games (Not counting ITG and the older DDR games mind you)

The Pump Pro 2 Team have been listening to the feedback and suggestions of the community and should they play their cards right, this game would be very successful. Maybe even become the top game in US and Canada. =D

I know DDR X2 is coming and all in Japan but I'm holding my breath on that game until we know what's happening with the US Version. And to be honest I heard nothing on a US Version.

And even if one does comes out, if X2 is going to a wrack like X1, then arcades and players should turn their focus on a game where the makers does care about their US and Canadian Players which would be this one.
