Reminds me of the new SM 4 Default skin....

If it doesn't have well stepped 13's, 14's, a PLETHORA of new content, and tighter timing windows. I'm not getting it.

I'm having fun with my Pump It Up GX, currently running NX, to be upgraded to Pro.

I have high hopes this will turn out to be a good mix.

Dissapointed they'll most likely stick with dancer stages and not an option to have it as background videos instead.

Also I like how the logo is kinda the same as the Mario Strikers logo.

EDIT: The music in the trailer sounds like Fly Away To India, so possibly a new DJ Swami song? Doubts, but never know.

Haha, my thoughts exactly.

So far, the game looks very promising. Looking for new licenses, I'm very happy to see new character designs (Prince Afro is hilarious), new stages, and good content. The last catch up mix (EXTREME2) was amazing despite being mostly old content. So far I'm very interested in this.

P.S. Poseidon is one of the best songs in SuperNOVA2. :P

Meh, I'm probably not getting this unless there's a bunch of new songs because I already have SN2 JP.

How could Konami go from SN2 to this? The new lifebar and in-game graphics look like a bad Stepmania theme. This trailer was supposed to make every ddr fan out there EXCITED for the content in the game, being 10th anniversary game and all, but it totally failed to do that. I mean, look at Andamiro's trailers for their PIU series, they surely know how to please their crowd. A celebration theme and a gritty basketball court doesn't make sense at all.

Second, why is Konami still giving us 70-songs games when IIDX has 90+? DDR has a vast song library, I wouldn't mind paying to play some old but good Club version or 3rd mix oldies (or UM crossovers) on a new interface.

Third, why do we have to endure getting our american games "americanized", but the arcade game is exactly the same as its japanese counterpart? If you want to add more content to attract casual american players, it's all right, but don't make fans angry by taking out songs they know from the arcade and buy the home version hoping to find it there. I mean, random guy plays DDR for the first time and loved Blind Justice and Why Not and buys the ps2 game to play them, but of course, they are nowhere to be found in the ps2 conversion for no apparent reason. But don't worry, here's some Sean Paul and Justin Timberlake because now THAT'S what you really want to play.

I had enough of "americanized" ddr with SN2. From now on I'm only supporting japanese releases since I happen to own an import-enabled ps2, and I will encourage all my friends to do the same, until Konami finally learns how to treat and respect their loyal fanbase.

I know I might being too harsh with my comments since this is only the first official mention of the game, but everything I said has been happening since the first american DDR game and I'm sick of hoping that "it will get fixed next time", since there's nothing saying that it's going to be any different this time. If anyone out there agrees with me, DO IT, let's help make this 10th anniversary game a memorable one.

I am going out on a limb to say that I don't think most people who buy DDR CS knows about it's counterpart (if there is one) past Extreme.

CoreyBlaze: Unfortunately for us, licenses sell games. Just look at Guitar Hero. The loyal fanbase won't buy nearly as many games as everyone else.

So, wait...not buying the 10th anniversary game is going to make it memorable?

You obviously misunderstood my comment. I meant that if you're sick of having every american game hacked with stuff no one asked for, make enough noise about it here so Konami might listen and finally brings "the arcade game plus the american licenses/covers that sell" instead of "the arcade game minus the songs fans like and american licenses/covers that sell but no one cares about them".

If Konami can spend the money licensing foreign stuff for arcades in America, why can't they do the same for home versions if, supposedly, DDR's earnings are in the home version and not the arcade? Also, pro-players don't buy/play console releases because they are nothing like the arcade. If Konami starts pulling off at least near-perfect arcade ports (similar to japanese ones), DDR home releases could be getting a good 7-10% boost in sales, assuming that pro-players would start buying them, and I might being too pesimistic claiming that it would be just a 7-10%.

Support the "bring the full arcade game plus american licenses" movement. 90+song games would be easy to do then, and that's something no other music game can claim to do.

I understand that you want the games to be a certain way, but perhaps not everyone enjoys a full list of J-Pop? They are trying to please the masses, not JUST the people who play at arcades. I've found the song lists to be an excellent variety so far in every home version I've played so far. But, I also very rarely play at the arcades... so maybe my opinion doesn't count for much?

Excuse me but I think I speak for a large part of the community when I ask for the games to be a little more arcade-accurate while incluiding some american-flavored tracks to make it more appealing to our market. SN2ps2 was so innacurate and so full of american nonsense that it was ridiculous. My point is that Konami definitely can please BOTH the masses and their most loyal fans, it's just that they don't want to. But I'm sure that if we make enough noise they'll listen; DDRUniverse3 seems to have ITG tracks on it, after all. Konami listens.

Wow.  All this hatin' based on a few screenshots.  We only know 3 of the songs on the game, yet some can dismiss it as not worth buying.  Amazing.

I'm looking forward to it, and hoping for the planet songs that I wish we'd gotten in SN2.  I'll be watching for more info on the songs list.

If it makes the same mistakes every canonical US DDR game has made since the beginning (with SN2 being the worst offender), *I* will not buy it. It's ok, you all will probably end up buying it and supporting another slap to the american fanbase face, but since I saw nothing epic going in those pictures/trailer (and some epicness was bound to be found being a 10th anniversary game), my opinion will remain the same. Oh, and it's perfectly ok to not agree with me.

I actually LIKED SN2 for the US.  Yeah it didn't have all the arcade songs, but I actually liked most of the licensed songs they chosed, I thought they were much better than the licenses at the arcade.  Yeah it could have had more of the boss songs, but oh well.

Keep in mind, in a post Guitar Hero/Rock Band world, cutsey japenese pop songs aren't going to sell a game.  Whether you like it or not, songs from guys like Justin Timberlake, Ashley Trisdale, Chris Brown, Cascada, and Fatboy Slim will.  Besides, most hardcore players who really want to play all the arcade songs at home will just end up importing the japanese version anyways.

I herd of it... And was like "Whoh!"!

I saw the trailers via YT... And looks like Emi has gone "cute" with a Pop'n-Idol like outfit. =w=

I will be looking forward for this. Though I hope the originals are as good as the last game... Sames goes for the lisences. >.<; I'll be more than happy if this game will come with Bemani crossovers! (Especialy Pop'n.. Which i'm still looney for this game...)
