I have been patiently waiting for the new PS3 version of DDR to come out for some time now. I remember there were original plans to have it out by the end of 2009, obviously did not happen, after which I heard a street date of February 2nd, 2010. However around mid-January, gamestop.com was showing a release date of March 16th, 2010 for the game, so once again held back. I just checked today and now it looks like the game has been pushed back all the way until May 1st, 2010. I find this disappointing as there have been no new details well since last summer/fall. Also with lack of news on both this site and Konami.com, in addition to learning that the manufacturing of DDR X arcades in the US now done, the rather flopped coverage and publicity of the DDR nationals, no appearance this year in the AAMA Expo in Las Vegas this month, it seems DDR is starting to become nearly as stale in the US as the four year hiatus between DDR Extreme arcade and DDR SuperNOVA. I really don't mean to bring down Konami about this but does anyone have any news (besides unlock codes for DDR X and Japanese X2 Aracde news, I am up to date on those).

Yeah, it seems that they are trying to postpone the game for maybe a couple of reasons:

1. Their not ready to release the final product yet.

2. they want to match the US's PS3 version with Japan's DDR X2 CS (which by the way is coming out for the PS3...we assume).

3. The PS3 and 360 versions will be THE 2010 DDR games for this year (as for PS2? Don't know, there may be a PS2 version this year, but i sort of doubt it).

And i do find it incredibly weird that no info has come out of those two games since E3 2009...ESPECIALLY on their website too >_>.

Yeah, it's been very quiet lately... I'm in the same boat as you.  I'd at least like a tentative release date form Konami.  Maybe they're waiting for the PS2 and Wii versions to sell more copies before they bring out the big guns?

Personally, I'm not gonna believe any release dates until they release more info or screenshots or something on the games.

Well I visited my local Gamestop store and their release date lists is also showing the 5-1 release date so it seems pretty firm with Gamestop for the first of May. Though this is nothing to stop Konami from pushing it off again if they need to.
