In Dance Dance Revolution EXTREME (USA) there is a hidden song that can only be unlocked by entering the following code in the main menu while the controller is in the P2 slot:
Right, Right, Right, Right, Up, Up, Up, Square, Left, Left, Down, Down, Down, Square, Square, Select
If this code is entered correctly you should have 'Memories by Paula Terry' unlocked for play!!
Remember the controller needs to be in the 2P slot! (thanks for the reminder BeForU!)
Unlock 'Memories by Paula Terry' in DDR EXTREME
Don't forget the controller has to be put in the second controller port

Heh, I know the story behind the decision on this code. Kind of funny. ;p

So, what's the story? I'm interested!
Well, they wanted to do a cool promotional tie in with DDREXUS and something. So when they were coding up the game, they had the programmers lock up a song with a code that they were going to use in a joint promotion really close to after the game launched. So, as time passed, they tried to find a good oppurtunity to bring it all together, but problem after problem arised. Companies wern't interested, or they felt that having a code available just wouldn't fit. So, they waited, and waited...
Then the Burger King promotion happened, and FINALLY there was a chance to use this code they had sitting around for 2+ish years.
Funny how you have a cool idea that just won't work out because of one thing or another.

The idea would have been more cool if they used a better song other than "Memories". Maybe they could have made it "PARANOiA Survivor" or something, since the game already has "Trip Machine Survivor" it would have made more sense... also once they would have done that, they could have just used "PARANOiA Survovir Max" In DDRExtreme 2 and then make room for "Max. (period)" since its the only PS2 game (aside from SuperNova 2) without a "Max/MaxX" song (although I STILL don't understand why Konami made TWO PARANOiA Survivors in the first place... it just seems dumb... like the two Flows and the two Sunkiss Drops, but thats a different debate for a different thread). AND THEN, if you wanna go even furthur, instead of using "Fascination -Eternal Love Mix-" for SuperNova 1 USA PS2, since they were going to use it again for SN2, they could have taken that out and stuck in "PARANOiA -Respect-" thereby updating the USA with every boss song ever made and released (with the exception of SN2 USA which don't have the planet songs, but I'm taking a guess by saying they will appear in a next USA PS2 home version)
That would not be good, because it took 2 years to get an official unlock for memories (I used a hacked save), but if it was a better song, it would have driven us even more crazy to get it, making us all even angrier.

Not a half bad song, however, not worth the two year wait!
It should have been given during some sort of sale on their site.
people hacked the game befoee it even got released, so thoose who wanted it bad got it. I am surprised its not the classic konami code.
Well it's a little difficult to use the Konami code given that a PS2 does not have buttons labeled "A" and "B"

The only thing DIFFICULT about that game is Mission Mode, cause if you complete all 100, you unlock everything, except for memories. I still have HUGE problems trying to clear Mission 98, meanwhile I can do every other mission with ease.
What is the real reward behind the web link, ID and password after passing all 100 missions?
I needed around 250 times to pass the last mission (Frozen Ray for Extreme, Heavy, Dark, Reverse, Flip, Music Acceleration) and complete the 100 missions.
