The best way I've found to get all the double/triple is to first lean your body the other way then the steps you are steping. Like if you have 3 8ths left steps in a row, lean to your right and step with your left. This way you won't be working against you body mass an use up energy.
Also using the front part of your foot also save energy. Try tapping rather then stomping as stomping really drains your energy.
As the steps get faster, keep your feet closer to the panles. And keep a sharp mind. I somethimes find you can play a much better game of ddr if you can always keep a clear and calm mind.
Anyways I hope that helps. If this stuff does not work for you, you can always try something else. Best of luck and keep danceing!! ^_^

Thanks CowbellMan, my triples are working much better now!

I'm very glad to hear that. ^_^

thank you mdx, what are these "gallops" everyone always talks about? You know you could to a DDR Terminology tutorial. There are a lot of noobs that would benifit from the knowledge of a veteran such as your self.

Gallops are "one-two" steps that make you feel like you're galloping like a pony. Two sixteenth steps, an eighth rest, two sixteenths, in a "ba-dum, ba-dum, ba-dum" pattern. When I was working up to them I had a hard time figuring out if I should treat them as steps with a very short interval, or as jumps with one foot coming down early. Neither really works; you just have to get the hang of them as their own kind of step. When I do them, I skip-bounce.
Tsugaru, Cow Girl, and In The Navy '99 are good examples of gallop fests. So's So Deep, but that might be too brutal an introduction. An easy song to practice galloping on is My Generation, if you have DDR Max.
People dance without arrows?

Dude, I was just giving you some correct terminology, you don't have to get sarcastic on me... I hope I didn't sound arrogant in my last post...
Gallops are one of my favorite types of steps, b/c it gives you the opportunity to experiment with some air dynamics for jumping to set up for other jumps and/or steps.
Some easy examples would be My Generation, and my memory fails randomly for more (any help here is welcome)......but that one is usually set up so you can easily rotate for the next set of gallops. The real practice and skill sharpening comes in if you play Can't Stop the Rain, Tino's White Horse, Tsugaru...especially the Apple Mix, very fun..... Matsuri Japan, Sakura on challenge, Healing-D-Vision, and Fascination Maxx on Expert........so obviously I like gallops way too much, lol, though I'm not good enough and stamina built quite enough AND not having the best quality pad to clear HealingD and FMaxx on Expert yet........
So hopefully in case anyone wants to know where to practice gallops, hope this helps some....i know i selected some fairly tricky songs for gallop practice.......lol.

.....like we really need the game to tell us again when the screen obviously spelled it out in nice, big caps... FAILED......unless you can't read at all :P
