Oh well, maybe there is a code that JUST pushes the extras back, and it'll come out soon?  Here's to hoping for that.

Give it time... we are only at unlock level 2 and the third code will probably be released mid July since thats when the whole third Zukin War ends... if anyone remembers it took a while to get all unlocks for Extreme... and the other mixes... it will take time and I am sure Extra stages will change on either the next unlock or the one after it.

I vote for Story... its time that the Characters in DDR have their personalities shine. That and fairness being the key to it... all players should be able to unlock everything.

In regards to story... I already posted this in the unlock section but something along these lines would be fun... if not something completely different would be amazing but having a story is the key idea.

I would love to see DDR have a quest mode like unlock system similar to Gambler Z in Pop'n Music 9... while Gambler Z took forever to unlock, it was interesting in the fact it was a randomly generated dungeon with treasure chests hidden with song unlocks, extra mods, hidden characters, additional items, and coins which were all random aside from the Boss Charatcers you fought at the end of the dungeon. The Bosses were ridiculously hard if not impossible and whether or not you could pass them eventually you will win the battle after 3 attempts at it where you were victorious... Imagine something like Pluto Relinquish, Fascination Maxx, or other Boss songs being at the end of the dungeon on Oni. The unlock system was done by moving your character through the dungeon by the number of steps by rolling the dice depending on the number of stages cleared. In DDR you could have the standard 2 dice for a complete game and if you get the extra stage you could get the third dice to go with the multiplier.

Think of this... You could pick a DDR character [Emi, Rage, BabyLon, Yuni, Alice, Ruby, Gus, etc] and they would be your dancer moving their way from place to place on this gameboard type of setting. So after you clear a set of 3 songs with or without extra you then play the minigame and roll the dice and then the multiplier... then your dancer moves the amount of spaces needed to progress towards the end of the board... at the end is a Boss character with a challenging boss song and whatever treasure you pass along the way such as song unlocks, hidden extras, and other things is all randomly generated meaning you never know whats going to be unlocked... I think the randomness of Pop'n 9 made the game so much more fun to unlock since you never knew what was going to be unlocked or if you were even going to get an unlock after that round... and Bosses can be past characters like Devil Zukin, Naoki, 2mb, Paranoia [that robot in the back of Paranoia songs], and that guy giving chase in the background to Maximizer. Ultimately after all 5 bosses and the hidden 6th boss are cleared you will have a full unlocked game.

And it doesnt have to be a randomly generated dungeon like Pop'n but maybe since its DDR it could be a large mega sized maze with different directions in which the goal is to find the 5 bosses and then the 6th ultimate boss in the maze [since the last few DDR games 5 was the magic number for Boss songs and the 6th would be some extra hidden KO or groove radar special or something] and defeat them. The fun part is that the unlock system isnt a normal mode... it would be played at the end of any regular DDR play you make in game mode or nonstop... just like Pop'n it would be a quick mini game at the end of each round where you roll the dice and watch your character move the number of steps rolled unlocking whatever they can along the way if anything since I have gone about 3 full rounds of Pop'n before even unlocking anything at times.

Or another idea would be using the similar Gambler Z mini game from Pop'n but instead dressing it up graphically a little bit and replacing Toru Kamikaze [the boy in the dungeon] with Robo-Zukin and calling it Zukin Wars... The goal would be to lead your robo zukin through the randomly generated maze finding treasure and defeating the bosses at the end of the maze in which there are 5 zukin bosses and a hidden boss after the 5 are defeated... you could even have the other Zukins from previous DDR games as bosses like Oshare Zukin, Maid Zukin, Kaeru Zukin, Princess Zukin, and Dark Robo-Zukin then bring back Devil Zukin by making her the ultimate hidden 6th boss thus defeating her, fully unlocking the game and winning the Zukin War!

One main reason... DDR is fun both visually [I love the characters and dancing stages a lot] and Musically [I miss Dancemania songs in DDR though but the Pop'n Music Crossovers and IIDX songs make up for it]

That and the Music in DDR is not all generic like In The Groove... I am sorry but while I love ITG2 most of the songs on there are so generic, the theme is nothing more than a bland Stepmania theme and not as much visually going on in the background. That and the stepcharts in ITG are retarded beyond comparison... stepcharts are supposed to do something... Be fun to play... not a challenge of how many arrows you can fit into a song on an endless retarded 16th stream... where the dancing fun in that?

DDR does everything so much better and thats why I still play... the 7,8, and 9 foot charts are amazing [though stuff like Arrabiata, Unreal, and Paranoia Hades might be a little too challenging for a 9 but the idea behind it was fun in the the thought put into those charts since they are passable and go with the music well... just immensely challenging for the 9 gap though]

DDR does the characters better since theres so many background dancers to choose from now... Each character gives DDR the personality that this "dance game" is visually appealing and also has a personality and isnt just fast nonsensical stepping on a metal pad... DDR also does music better since there is usually a variety in every mix [though with the US mixes some of the liscenses could get a little better IMO... More Epic Trance like Armin Van Buuren, Tiesto, Moby, Paul Van Dyk, and less Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, and other overly mainstreamed artists] But in the music section DDR does it always a lot better since theres so much difference in the music which is a good thing... its like the main difference between IIDX and Pop'n Music in the sense that music variety in IIDX is a little more stirctly to EDM type of songs mostly whereas Pop'n Music has a vast assortment of songs from all Bemani Games, all types of World Music, Liscenses from different series and animes, and a whole vast assortment of everything... Pop'n Music IMO is just like DDR in the sense that both games have a vast assortment of music and styles to choose from. Mostly its the music that keeps me playing DDR... and obviously listening to the OST's I imported years ago for DDR 2nd mix all the way to DDR Extreme on my Ipod everyday.... Classic DDR though is where it's really at... Dancemania Speed had some of the best songs on it... most of which made it into DDR with some amazing stepcharts.

I also still play DDR for the fun in the stepcharts... Somehow the stepchart makers can make some awesome and fun stepcharts for difficulties like 7 or 8.... it also seems that some thought goes into the steps [though a few charts are the exception]

But I would love to see Naoki as a character brought back again... Please Konami... Bring Naoki back... Imagine how him, NMR, and 2mb would look in the updated graphics... OMG! The thought of it is OMG! But if any new characters are to be added from past mixes... I seriously want to see Naoki, Devil Zukin, NMR, 2mb, Princess Zukin, Maho, and Johnny.

I agree.... no more revolution... unless its Dance Dance Revolution... every other game with the name "revolution" in it was ripped off DDR's success.

I love Pop'n as you can probably tell Roku is my favorite character... But seriously I would love to see a US version of it... but again the hard part would be marketing it and then having to inlucde mostly songs people would recognize like stuff from DDR [which the Pop'n notecharts for the DDR songs are amazing anyways and better than the stepcharts in DDR] but then they would have to include songs from Anime themes and recognizable stuff like Angelus, Moonlight Densetsu, Rhythm and Police, Lupin the 3rd, and a few others since Pop'n is not Pop'n without its Anime liscenses... and then to appeal to the mainstream gamer they would have to include stuff recognizable like the Super Mario Bros. theme and sandstorm [which would be fun to play on a pop'n notechart], anything by Britney spears, and maybe Numa Numa on a Pop'n OMG! Then you could have all the favorite pop'n characters and a full on version of US Pop'n though most songs in it would have be in English or have all banners romanized for people to buy it... Konami can even release an arcade size version of their controller just made of the same stuff as those mini plastic ones and sell it all as a bundle.

But seriously look at Guitar hero visually... its nothing more than a dressed up version of 5 button pop'n only played with a guitar with a completely different look. If marketed correctly I am sure everyone would be wanting to play something like Pop'n... the emphasis would need to be made on all the colors, reading the game by its colors. And marketing it as a party game where you get a group of people together playing Pop'n... it just has to appear to be visually appealing like guitar hero is going to get all these people playing it.... seriously i cant stand guitar hero.

That and games like Samba de amigo may be all childish looking but when played can be pretty addicting and challenging.

On the subject of Pop'n in General I play it all the time... I can clear up to about 37 on Hyper but I cant seem to clear anything other than that... and some EX songs are way too difficult to even attempt with the whole press 4 buttons at once in the middle of a note stream. My hardest I can clear is Ubertreffen Hyper on Fever.

Still... think of it this way... the last unlock code only unlocked one extra course and 2 songs... this one is unlocking 3 songs and 2 courses... if we do the math... this is the Level 2 unlock code meaning that Level 3 must unlock a little more than this one, and Level 4 will probably unlock a lot more than the third, and so on... so this must mean that more will be unlocked in time but I am seriously thinking its going to be until the end of the US version of Zukin Wars that we will be seeing our unlock codes released since about this time is when Zukin Wars episode 2 ends if I am not mistaken... and then after Zukin Wars 2 concludes we get the level 2 unlock... pretty much we will have to wait until Zukin wars episode 3 concludes and then we will get the Level 3 unlock... If I am not mistaken there was 6 episodes of Zukin Wars meaning that we probably have 6 unlock levels for non e-amuse machines... meaning about 4 more unlocks to go after this one...

I am pretty sure that Konami already has this planned out pretty well since the code will unlock L'amour et la liberte which was the hidden song only playable by the winning Zukin team of last episode of Zukin Wars... then when Episode 2 concludes its open for everyone to play and the unlock code is now giving it to us... I really think Konami has the unlock codes and their releases planned out pretty well.

Also if you are watching the last few codes the planet songs are being released little by little... we still have a long way until we reach Uranus, Posideon, Paranoia Hades, and Pluto its going to be quite some time until we reach the end of the Supernova 2 solar system... imagine actually traveling from planet to planet it takes a while.

Level 1 unlocked the sun and the moon [Sunkiss drop and Moonster]

Level 2 is unlocking Mercury and Venus [L'amour et la liberte and Venus] Fire is an extra crossover unlock.

****The rest is pure speculation but if we follow this same pattern in the last few unlocks****

Level 3 will unlock the Earth and Mars... [Stars ~retuned by HAL~ and Mars War 3] along with an extra crossover or two, then a few courses maybe released. [possibly Votum stellarum, the other sunkiss drop, or Bloody tears]

Level 4 will unlock Jupiter and Saturn [Jupiter -the bringer of jollity- and Saturn] along with somthing like Unreal, or Arrabiatta

Level 5 will unlock Uranus and posideon [along with maybe Trip Machine Phoenix or NGO]

Level 6 will unlock Pluto and Pluto relinquish [along with maybe Paranoia Hades and the groove radar specials]

Just wear Puma's they are amazing for playing DDR... they are fitted, lightweight, and the closest thing to playing DDR barefoot but while being protected with a shoe.

Now if Konami can get together with Puma and create an official DDR shoe with different styles to represent different characters personalities... OMG! I would so totally get a pair... Like The Rage style could be Red, magenta, and Brown and the Emi style can be all sweet colored in Lavender, white, and blue... and the Naoki style could be Red and Black, and other characters could be different colors [pretty much the same shoe just a color swap to reflect colors that remind you of the DDR characters] Then a nice little DDR pad logo on the side would be cute where the little Puma logo usually is. Oh and on the tounge you could have the logo with Dance Dance Revolution on it... if you couldnt do characters for the color scheme why not use color schemes for different shoe types based from the actual mixes of DDR for the shoes and have different types like Supernova, Supernova 2, Ultramix, Extreme, Extreme 2, Max, Max 2, Classic 1st mix, etc.

And since Puma shoes come in many different colors it would be so easy to release a line of DDR inspired Pumas in different colord to choose from based on either Characters colors or DDR Mix

I would honestly like to see something unique and original done with the DDR unlock system... while some of the ideas I have might not be original, they would be original if done in DDR and wouldnt necessarily be the exact same.

Has anyone honestly thought of looking at Pop'n music as an example of how to unlock songs in a music game [and I am not talking about the crappy slot machine on Pop'n 10, thats Konami's worst ever attempt at any unlock system] I have noticed that each CS release of Pop'n has had unique and original ways of unlocking the game depending not on the players skill mostly but by little mini games which are fun to play and completely random usually in what is unlocked... this gives the player more freedom and fun in unlocking stuff since they dont have to be a hardcore popper or even an intermediate popper to unlock the content.

As for good unlock systems in Pop'n that could be used in DDR... Pop'n Tourist was pretty fun in Pop'n 11 but was nothing more than an enhanced version of play til you unlock it, Sugoroku de 8 was a good unlock system in Pop'n 8, The theme park construction was a fun system in Pop'n 13, and the best unlock system which I think could be good for a game like DDR would be Gambler Z from Pop'n Music 9

The Bosses were ridiculously hard if not impossible and whether or not you could pass them eventually you will win the battle after 3 attempts... Imagine something like Pluto Relinquish, Fascination Maxx, or other Boss songs being at the end of the dungeon on Oni  The unlock system was done by moving your character through the dungeon by the number of steps... also you could roll the dice depending on the number of stages cleared.

So after you clear a set of 3 songs with or without extra you then play the minigame and roll the 2 dice and then the multiplier dice... then your dancer moves the amount of spaces needed to progress towards the boss. Whatever treasure you pass such as song unlocks, hidden extras, and other things is all randomly generated meaning one player might have some songs that another player doesnt have yet... I think the randomness of Pop'n 9 made the game so much more fun to unlock since you never knew what was going to be unlocked or if you were even going to get an unlock after that round... so your dancer moves their way around the DDR town or space or nightclub or wherever they move through unlocking stuff along the way. You eventually meet up with a Boss along the way and have a challenging boss song to try and beat them at [you get the 3 attempts to beat it then it auto unlocks and you auto win] and Bosses can be past characters like Devil Zukin, Naoki, 2mb, Paranoia [that robot in the back of Paranoia songs], and that guy giving chase in the background to Maximizer. Ultimately after all 5 bosses are cleared all the boss songs are unlocked and all the treasure will eventuallly be found and you will have a full unlocked game.

And it doesnt have to be a randomly generated dungeon like Pop'n but maybe since its DDR it could be a large mega sized maze with different directions in which the goal is to find the 5 bosses [since the last few DDR games 5 was the magic number for Boss songs] and defeat them. Sorry but it was just a brainstorm... I would love to see a Pop'n music 9 type of unlock system utilized into a DDR game... the possibilities of what can be done to DDR to not only enhance the Story of the DDR characters but also use it as a means of an unlock system is amazing. That and it would cater to players of all skill levels since Beginners could play the mini game and start unlocking the features, advanced players can unlock stuff and its nothing more than a large board game of unlocking by rolling the dice and moving across the board. And since everything but the Boss songs is randomly generated unlocks can be fun since each player will have different things unlocked also adding to the mystery of what songs are unlocks.
