My home setup includes a LCD TV, thus I am used to "lag". It's actually hard for me to play on an arcade machine.
The pads can't be worse than failing soft pads, which I have had fun on.
Honestly, I couldn't care, and will be playing X as soon as I find it.

The arcade operators won't give a crap if they can get enough money. They probably can, from the casual players who couldn't care about the pad quality. This isn't some magial dream world where arcade managers care about the machine's quality and all of the players, every single one, will complain if they get a pad miss.
This is not the end of US/Canada AC hardware.

A while back, I played some dance game that I now believe to be Dance Dance Revolution 5th Mix at a local GameWorks. Later, I played Extreme US at a local Y, and some time ater that finally got DDR Mario Mix. The rest doesn't matter.

What itg did was let players play songs that the created, instead of songs in the machine (for noobs)
They did not do this until they lost their suit. Until then, you could make edits with the home versions of ITG.
I really would like a home PC version of X, of course.
