The problem with new mats is there's already alot of really good pads already on the market... along with that, if Konami did make new pads, they would probably overprice them just because players would buy them anyways.(Colbalt Flux FTW)

Sports wear that would make it easier to play ie shoes made for hard pads instad of using running or some other kind of shoe might help from getting fun stuff like blisters on your feet. With other gear, it would be nice, but wouldn't really make a huge difference.

Music CDs are always nice, but this has been around for awhile and not something new.

So I voted for the gear because DDR-specific shoes could really help my feet.

Because I highly doubt that all 1000 people who signed up are gonna get your email, is there any chance for those of us who would like it anyways to get it? (I know you said something about a contest but still :)

I know they won't put it on DDRX, but 6-panel mode was great and sometimes I still pop Konamix just for that feature.

With the idea of an "extra" edit mode difficulty, what if there was a way to download it off the DDRX website and an easy way to put it on your game? That way people of the DDR community could send in their own ideas and this could insert much harder levels then would be included in the actually DDR game.

Wow! it took me years to get that good. Not sure about making it lighter but putting something on the bottom to keep it from slipping would help. My old pads slipped alot on 7+ and doing things like the final stream of Max 300 (SMMM) without the bar (pad got too far from my chair/bar) is not fun XD

I've been pushing to start DDR as part of gym in my school in northern VA. During my school's sprit week they let me bring in my game and play in all the lunches - it was a HUGE success. Other then that I've brought it in on days like before winter and spring breaks.

Back to the question of permanently in school though, the japanese/anime club at my school shows no interest in the matter : ( but that doesn't mean i won't keep bringing it in and trying to sway more people! Hopefully others have been more successful then I.

Part of the reason why some people might get angry at the inclusion of a 16 or so footer is that there is a certain satisfaction you get from being able to beat every song in the game that said, I would love so see some harder things I can't beat because it gives me an incentive to keep playing and get better (Pandy on Expert is not my friend!... or the 12s for that matter)

Whenever i go play at an arcade (which isn't often because it's in the movie theatre so only when i buy a ticket...), t-shirt, shorts (DDR + jeans = bad), and my track shoes.

Only problem is girls sometimes avoid me for awhile in the movie when i get a little too sweaty :/

Yea i didn't really make that clear... you know how there are little feet which show how hard it is out of 10? just get rid of that so people don't feel there has to be some specific limit to difficulty

They already have a scale to rate how hard songs are, but some are capped/ slightly lower because of 10 being the highest allowed. Instead of having a cap, just use numbers instead of feet and have no top limit (still would be between a 12-16 for all real purposes) and that takes care of some issues there

Another thing would be to make a special game targeted at veteran players so people would stop *****ing (pardon my french) about not enough hard songs. While i can AA some 10s i also enjoy playing 7-9 because they are more fun when you want to play longer and not get as tired.

The idea of a song/step contest is a great idea - that's how EternuS got on DDR. It would get alot of response and more people interested which means more $$$ for Konami. It's a win-win!
