What does one do to be a part of Velocity?  If it's a "real" crew, IE meeting up and such, then it might be tough, but if it's more of a symbolic thing, I'll join.

 Oh, and I hope owning an XBox or 360's not a requisite, because i own neither.  I have the PS2 DDRs minus the Extremes(Getting the Japanese Extreme sometime in the next couple weeks, I believe.)

Ah, Supersonic...  I hated that mission.  I still do hate that mission.  Just keep playing it.  Eventually you'll get lucky and it'll all click.  annoying as it is, that's the only real non-memorization advice there is for such a song.

For the record, it took me, IIRC, over 200 attempts at that course to finally beat it.  Don't give up!  (Also, you don't need to complete all of the specific DMM missions to unlock the songs and other items.  Just keep playing any missions, and whether you pass or fail, you'll unlock the songs in the shop over time.)
