So how long do you have to play in order for the time lock to go off?

Personally, I like the unlock system in the arcades. Play some stages, unlock some songs. I stopped playing the console games because the things you need to do to unlock all the good songs was ridiculous. I like some of the missions, don't get me wrong. Some of them are really fun. But after 5 DDRs you just wanna be able to play the missions as a side thing, not have to keep playing it over and over to unlock the songs. It gets really annoying, then you end up looking to cheat devices or Stepmania to get all the songs you want to play. I agree with Cali, having to play all the stupid US license songs to unlock the good songs is just plain annoying. Hence the Stepmania thing, I don't have to play them through some dumb "SUPER SAYAN AWESOME DANCER REMIX FREESTYLE MODE!!!!!!!!!" thing. As moose said, it makes me wanna put it away and never look at the console games again. sadface

I got some DDR t-shirts from DDR Freak. :D But a DDR shoe? F*CK YEAH! Dude that would be sick! I would wear them while I eat, sleep, drink, and go out with the ladies. I'd be like "look at my kicks b****, LOOK AT THEM!" XD

I just wanna see a DDR game that comes out that's an EXACT PORT of the arcade. I don't care if that's all it has, just please, please, give me more of a song selection than 70. That's all I ask.

Hmmm...I'm at odds with this game. A new PS2 DDR game is awesome, but looking at past US PS2 games this one could follow that trend of "GIVE THE AMERICAN GAMERS MORE BRITTANY SPEARS AND JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE AND LESS LEVEL 10+ SONGS!!!! THEY'LL LOVE IT!" which will make me not buy it. :\

I don't know...I play HP at a friend's house and I after that I wasn't able to look at DDR again for 2 weeks. :\ I have a Wii, but I might skip this one... (btw, mii faces + DDR dancers = Hitler dancing to FaxX :D)

I saw that sh*t on ebay! That looks so sick! I'm questioning how well it works though. XD For now I think the only perfect "portible" DDR game is Stepmania with a laptop. I have yet to try DDRLite until I get an R4 for my DS. :\

Lol I should have looked here before starting a thread. They have a DS homebrew game called DDRLight, which is essentially Stepmania but for the DS. It uses Stepmania files and plays them on the DS. The sound sucks the lower end of my ***, but when you plug in headphones/real speakers the sound is much better. I would really like an official release, but with the Gamecube/Wii editions god knows what will go wrong. :(

No there really is one for the DS, it's a homebrew. But how cool would it be for Konami to officially release DDR for the DS? The Homebrew one actually works out well. The sound is even great when you have headphones. It uses Stepmania files. Basically it's Stepmania for the DS, but it's called DDRLight. :D Thoughts?

Darn it! I want one in my city. I know we're gonna be the last ones in Cali to get it though. :( We always are. :P

I use the bar when a song gets slippery. I am always trying to get through the song as much as I can without using it, but sometimes when the going gets tough, the tough get going. :P It's still ok though. At least I can pass the song. I can now play 4 level 10 songs without the bar.

     Helllllllllllllllo! Name's Chris, known better as The Twilight Storm. The two game-related things I love most in this world are DDR and my Wii. (No...I mean "Wii" as in the "Nintendo Revolution"...which I will call it to avoid confusion.) I am the moderator for a Nintendo site called "The House of Flying Koopas." For those who are Nintendo savvy, we realize a Flying Koopa is a paratroopa, we just thought that would sound cool. XD

     Back to the topic. I have been playing DDR for a good 7 years now. I own all the DDR games for Playstation/2, and Stepmania. I currently play on an iON Metal Arcade pad (x2) and love them to death. :D I would love for Konami to make a DDR game that actually ports DDR, so that I can not have to go through the tourcher that is "Dance Master Mode." (or whatever it's called :P) I like my DDR straight to the point: play some songs, get points for said songs, unlock more songs.

      I am happily engaged to a lovely woman my the name of Stephanie. I love her with all my heart and if anyone says otherwise I'll Stone Cold Stun you into a brick. :P I love music (duh...I play DDR XD). I am a Percussion Instructor for a local school and hope to be a Music Teacher. I am enrolled in ITT Tech to get an IT degree first, however, as IT has more promise in terms of an income. XD I am generally a funny guy, so don't take me too seriously. Now if you don't mind, I have to go whoop some @$$ in Super Smash Brothers Melee. :D See all of you when I log back on!
