I took a few month away from DDR and now I thinking about getting back on the old ddr train.

 

I guess that means that I'll be buying X very shortly. ^_^

I have to say that I'll really miss the online part of the game. You might say that I was so bummed out that there wasn't online play that I kind of just stopped. But I'm happy to buy a ticket and get right back on. ^^

I like X seeing how I only have a playstaion 2. :p

That does sound nice. I would also get a PS3 just for that. That and MGS3. ^^

I do wonder, would Konami have to pay royalties all over again for the songs again? And if so would it be cost effective?

It must be a small world seeing how right now I’m playing on the same pad you speak of. The GameStop. (“Lets Dance”). I can play all right with it but it’s just not fell the same.

I few hours after my pad died I got an replacement red octane 2.0 on ebay. I think I’ll put the foam insets from my old pad to continue the tradition. I too hope it gets hear before DDRX however. ^^

After seeing the song list I think I got to get this game. ^_^

There's a few that songs that I've never herd of seeing how the only ddr game we have is extreme and it’s about two towns away.

I wonder if they will have online mode?

I was never around the scene that you talked about because of where I live. Boy I wish I could of lived in a town that had a scene to have all those moments that you had. The only feeling of community that comes close to that is the online mode for the PS2.

I would say treasure those memories. Never let them die and never give up the arrows. ^_^

My every fateful Dance Dance Revolution dance pad after 5 years of dependable service has died.

I was playing paranoia 180 when the down arrow finally gave out. When it happen I was in denial. It couldn’t give out in my mind. I wished it wasn’t true but it was. Giving it some test plays proved that my favorite dance pad had now retired.

I remember buying the red octane 2.0 at the game stop for 50 bucks marked down from the 75 they have giving for her. I was sweating because now I could afforded one. I also remember having to walk all the way home seeing how I rode my bike down there. It was the pad that I lusted after from hearing all the reports on the internet. She did not disappoint. Her raised arrows made the experience all the more better. She never moved my carpet. Always giving me super accurate steps every time.

We had many happy memories together. She was the first pad that I played with online mode. When people online asked if I was using a pad or a controller. My answer was always a happy one. She was the pad that used to start on heavy mode. I learned along with her. I always played with her when I got a new DDR game for the PS2. We even played Doubles mode together. (with a cheap pad attached with pins)

She outlasted longer than what other peoples plastic pads. Most only work for about a year of heavy play. She gave me 5 years! I know that it seems silly to feel a lost from a gaming accessory but I feel like a part of my heart has left me. She has cracks in the plastics that I tried to repair with duck tape. Even have that I will never get rid of her. Her memory with always live on with me.

I hope to see you in video game heaven. I will be waiting for you then.

*sigh* Now to get a new one on ebay and used one of the cheap ones as a stand in ... but it will never be the same.

(btw: I call my old pad as a girl such as a sea man would call a ship a girl.)

I love playing doubles! I only play on a home verson but it sure makes the game harder. If people are complaing that there is not a lot of hard song in DDR, they need to play doubles mode more. It makes single mode look easy! If nothing else it makes the game much more fun.

IthI play it by using two redoctane pads and pinning them togetter.

I have to say I only really use the itoy to watch my self dance.

I use edit mode all the time. Also I like doing edit mode on just DDR.

1) I use it for working out a warm-up

2) I use it work up my "ddr scales" to when the hard steps come up I can do them on a drop of a hat. :p

Please don't give rid of Edit mode.

I'm not sure why everyone is so worked up about a little thing. Maybe there should be a standard on which the foor ratings are juged.

I allways thought that 10 footers (and flashing 10 footers) were a hard song and a 1 footer was an easy song.

I wounder if on each mix that when they write for the program they judge the feet on that mix that they are working on at the time. As it is 10 footers are hard!

I have to say I don't think changing the foot rateing would really do anything more that give people more braging rites. :)

You know they did have a few DDR games for the old gameboy in Japin. :)
