I'm curious. When you turn these off, are they replaced by normal arrows, or do they just disappear?

In most versions of DDR, OK is the best you can get on a freeze.

I would get the pad if it was relatively cheap, but since we don't know, I'll pick the sports wear.

9's are getting too hard. I want more 9's like Rhythm and Police, So Deep, and exotic ethnic. Not like NGO.

Also, marvelous timing = good.

Step-jumps are a pain. Try to jump as low as possible.

When you need to do jackhammers in the middle of streams, just remember to keep your weight on the other foot.

I hate to say it, but DDR isn't a great game for having tournaments. I really have no reason to enter, since I have absolutely no chance of winning. There are probably lots of people in my position.

Freestyle is different though. I'd be interested in that.

Silas here. I started playing pretty recently. Last summer, I believe. One day, I spontaneously decided to get the soundtracks from the DDR games. Then I found Stepmania, then I got a RedOctane Ignition 3.0. I've played probably twice a week since then. I plan to build a homebrew metal pad soon, since my Ignition is barely usable now. I'm also trying to get to arcades more often.

I can pass 9's on Stepmania on my awful pad, except the stupid ones like NGO. I might be able to do that in the arcade, but I haven't been there enough to know. I passed Sakura Heavy last time though.

I'm a fan of Bemani music, but that's a fairly recent thing, so I'm no expert. I also like Japanese electronic music like Perfume.

I'm currently very active in the Magic: the Gathering community.

8 on the Break has a machine, but one of the buttons is broken. Gah. I want to play this game.

Seconding the crossover thing. When I read those arrows, all I see is crossover, crossover, crossover. Reminds me of Exotic Ethnic or Rhythm and Police.

There would be at least one problem. We wouldn't be able to say that DDR songs are rated from 1 to 10; they would be 1 to whatever.
