At least when you step in a soft flailing pad it registers without having to smash the arrows in.
I have a ddr x machine near me and unless you dont mind getting c's and d's on songs you can easily get a's and b's on then yes you probably will enjoy ddr x. its literally 1 min away from where i work and if i do decide that i want to play after work i have to go to a ddr extreme machine thats just as close by.
Trust me once you play it you won't want to play it again.
Off subject but i saw a 5 year old kid playing on beginner mode. Obviously new to the game, he was getting frustrated with the game because every time he would hit the arrows "hard" enough it would register with an almost or good. So if your new to the game and play on an X cabinet what would your first impression be on a machine that doesnt register your hits on the arrows and has bad syncing issues, you probably wouldnt play it anymore.
