Alright, I'm not really good at picking favorites... so let me just "rate" each DDR game I've played:
DDR Max: Well, this one had my least favorite song list, (however, exotic ethnic is still one of my favorite DDR songs of all time). There wasn't really much for this game to offer. Pretty bland all around, but then again it was a pretty early DDR game, so it's kind of hard to judge fairly. But it's my least favorite. (<u>Favorite Songs:</u> "exotic ethnic", "Orion.78 (civilization mix)", "The Shining Polaris", "true... (Trance Sunrise Mix)", "Matsuri Japan")
DDR Max 2: Love the interface, even though it's very simple. The song list is wonderful, even though there are a few duds. Overall it's a good, solid DDR game. Nothing special besides good songs. (<u>Favorite Songs:</u> "Breakdown!", "Days Go By", "Kakumei", "Ghosts (Vincent De Moor Remix)", "Heaven", "Will I?", "i feel...")
DDR Extreme: Yeah... umm... very close to beating DDR Max as worst DDR game I've played. The songlist... is not good. It gets better towards the end of unlocking everything, but songs like "Go West", "Don't Clock Me", "Bad Routine", "On the J****quot;, "So in Love", etc. are just so bland, boring, awful, uninspiring songs! However, the Silent Hill songs were a nice, unique touch. Also, the Mission Mode makes me want to shoot myself... in the head... multiple times... yeah. It's frusturating. :P (<u>Favorite Songs:</u> "Drop Out", "Drop Out (From Nonstop Megamix)", "Tsugaru (Apple Mix)", "You're Not Here", "Your Rain (Rage Mix)", "The Legend of Max", "A")
DDR Extreme 2: My first DDR ever... wonderful songlist EXCEPT for the 9 Naoki songs... none of which I like. -_- The interface was fine... until I played the Supernova games... and then came back to this one. The interface is pretty simple... and boring. But I didn't mind it when I first played it! (<u>Favorite Songs:</u> "Sakura", "Spin Spin Sugar (Armand's Dark Garage Mix", "Polovstian Dances and Chorus", "Seduction", "Sexy Planet (From Nonstop Megamix)", "Inside Your Heart", "Look to the Sky (True Color Mix)")
DDR Supernova: When I first played this game, I thought the songlist was kind of iffy and all over the place. However, once I warmed up to it, I actually started to enjoy the diversity of the songs. But there are still songs I do not like... "Brazilian Anthem"... I despise this song and its steps. And you could have laid off of the '80's songs a bit... (i.e. "Video Killed the Radio Star"... bleh) The Stellar Master Mode is very cool looking... though some of those missions are pretty random/frusturating. The boss songs are very unique and different from each other, (unlike Extreme 2's annoying repeat boss song...) Quite possibly one of my favorite DDR games since I find myself playing it so much. (<u>Favorite Songs:</u> "Xepher", "Matsuri (J-Summer Mix)", "DoLL", "Shivers", "Freckles", "L.E.F. (Loud Electrion Ferocious)", "Turn on the Music (Axwell Radio Edit)", "Fascination Maxx", "Chaos", "True Love")
DDR Supernova 2: This was actually my first DDR *purchase*... I loved it to pieces when I first got it. The song list was amazing in every way to me. HOWEVER... once I started playing the other DDR games and I saw what DDR was *truly* meant to be... this game kind of turned me off. Granted it still does have some good songs... very few I *hate*... but it's just a very different DDR. The boss songs are also good... even though I think Unreal and Trim should have traded places so Trim was a red song. And Paranoia ~Hades~ is amazing. More scary songs!!! :D Also, just as a little side note... lay off the slow songs! ("Say Goodbye", "Suddenly I See", "Rock Your Body", etc.) Just... no. They are boring. I don't think I'm supposed to fall asleep while playing this game, right? (Favorite Songs: "Honey Punch", "And Then We Kiss (Junkie XL Remix)", "Beginning of the End", "He Said She Said", "Arrabbiata", "Seduction (Vocal Remix)" "Under the Sky", "Morning Glory")
DDR Konamix: Yes, I am rating this after all the other ones... mainly because I just got it for my birthday less than a week ago. But it's already one of my favorites! The songlist is amazing. Now, I know I shouldn't be too hard on this game... since I've played it after all of the others and it is still old... but oh well. The grading sucks, the timing of the arrows is too strict, and the arrows (obviously) don't move smoothly going up the screen. Other than that, great game! (Favorite Songs: "R3", "Orion.78 (Ameuro Mix)", "Trip Machine (Luv Mix)", "La Senorita Virtual")
