The only reason I will play ITG instead of DDR is because you can play custom songs on it. DDR has better songs and better charts, making it a better game imo.

Topic: Poll Question:TЁЯRA vs RIYU KOSAKA who sign better?
jun is alright, but TERRA's tracks are way too similar in style. I like Naoki but his work outside TERRA is better imo. I'd vote for Riyu (but Noria beats both Riyu and jun).

Topic: Tokyo Game Action develops Dance Dance Revolution fitness program for Winchendon School System
Taken from http://tokyogameaction.com/forums/showthread.php?p=34748#post34748
"For the past 5 years, Tokyo Game Action's mission has been to use Japanese games as an alternative to crime and drugs, for America's youth and adults, while promoting physical fitness and building personal relationships within the community. We are happy to report that we have taken this program one step further by formally extending TGA services to the local Winchendon School system.
Tokyo Game Action is proud to announce the creation of the "Fitness through Dance Dance Revolution and Bemani program". This program was developed by Tokyo Game Action for the Winchendon School system and the 21st Century program. The first phase of the program began approximately one year ago when Tokyo Game Action purchased and coordinated a physical fitness program through the use of consumer versions of DDR at the school. The program has now evolved into an after school program, in which the students will use the actual DDR arcade hardware on location at TGA.
The program will take place every Friday afternoon, after school, at Tokyo Game Action.
Through Dance Dance Revolution and the other Bemani / Music simulation games at TGA, students will participate in a physical and music education program.
They learn first hand, the physical benefits DDR can bring combined with proper diet and a healthy lifestyle. Besides the physical benefits, the students will also learn fundamental rhythm skills, while building self confidence and learning teamwork and developing social skills.
The students will also gain an understanding and an appreciation of the Japanese culture through exposure to the language and customs contained within DDR and the other Japanese games at Tokyo Game Action.
The program is being funded by the Department of Education trough a grant from the 21st Century Program. This program supports the creation of community learning centers that provide academic enrichment opportunities during non-school hours for children, particularly students who attend high-poverty and low-performing schools.
The program will begin Friday October 17th, 2008. All members coming to TGA on Fridays will be encouraged to use their expertise to show support and assist the students while learning the basics of DDR and the other rhythm games at TGA. In other words, come down and help out!!
Thanks everyone!
Andy"

It's strange that so much was changed from pop'n. I can't get over that the pop-kuns fall through the bottom.

Topic: DDR X Artist Information
I <3 Darwin. Shades of grey is a wonderful song and his myspace page is full of good music. I'm looking forward to seeing more of him in Bemani.
Looks like a lot of cool info here. I'l have to read it more later (work :/).

Topic: DDR "nicknames" (What does your Username mean?)
I don't really have a cool nickname. offblack was a screenname I chose for myself back in middle school, haha.
For DDR I put PERY as my name back when it was only 4 letters. PERY is also my pop'n name. On IIDX I go by DJ DIESEL though, partly because it sounds cool and partly because I like Diesel clothing.

Topic: Poll Question: Do you prefer licensed music or Konami/Bemani music?
Bemani. IIDX is my favorite Bemani game in terms of music and it has very few licensed songs per mix. Kors k, Ryu *, Sada, Sota, L.E.D, Munetica (not sure if he is licensed), Yoshitaka: all great.
As long as the music fits DDR, that's all I look for.
^ True. DDR needs more dance/trance.

This is awesome news. Hopefully the east coast will get in on this Bemani action too (TGA please).
ubeat is a much better spelling for the US (for obvious reasons).

Topic: Konami Blog
The blog is currently written by Hiro, a programmer at KOA (correct me if I'm wrong, Elliott). He tends to write about things going on in his life, or things he is interested and relates it back to DDR in some shape or form.
Konami might be open to letting other people who have a hand in DDR write in the blog. Would you be more interested if someone with a different role contributed to the blog?

Thanks for wishing me luck. I've moved out to CT now. I'm going to have to find a good arcade in the area.

Topic: My relationship with Konami
Hey everyone, this is Perry (formerly AgoraPerry on these forums). You may have noticed that my username has changed. This is because I am no longer in relations with Konami. I've got a new job now so my duties with this community have shifted over to my good friend, Elliott (AgoraElliott). He will be forwarding all your opinions and thoughts to Konami from this point forward. He will also be the best person to contact if you run into any issues.
I'll still be around the forums, just not in the same capacity as before.

Topic: Modifiers
I play with x1.5 or x2 on. I also put on Note (or Solo if playing on Extreme). I used to play with Boost a lot, but I haven't done that in a while.
I agree with Snapps that more note blast options would be cool. I like big obnoxious explosions (there is a great IIDX Distorted note bomb that comes to mind).

As I mentioned before...
I don't want to lock this thread because I don't like killing discussion, but this is turning in to an argument that is going nowhere. Typing in caps, being sarcastic, and name-calling (I'm not just referring to you, moose) are unnecessary, so either post civilly and add something new to the discussion, or don't post. If the discussion continues to be back and forth agruing with no progress then I will lock the thread.
Since the discussion has just become worse since that post I am locking this thread. Emodan and moose, read this post.

Emodan, this is not the way to express your thoughts on someone's forum etiquette. In the future, send me a PM instead of hi-jacking a thread. Your attacks are totally unnecessary so consider this your first and last warning before a ban.
moose, Emodan is not the only user that I have seen become upset by your posting style. Many of your posts are condescending, or in other ways tactless. You have strong opinions, which is fine, but you should be more polite and accepting of others' opinions. You always seem to involved with arguments on this site.
