Yeah, it's been very quiet lately... I'm in the same boat as you.  I'd at least like a tentative release date form Konami.  Maybe they're waiting for the PS2 and Wii versions to sell more copies before they bring out the big guns?

All of my data got corrupted too, but mine was due to playing the game on my PS3.  The PS3 decided it didn't really like playing DDRX so it froze mid song.  It's annoying to have to unlock everything all over again, but at the same time, I do love playing the game, so it's not that bad.  The only thing I really am upset about losing is all of my AAAs (not too many, but there were some difficult ones in there)

Oh man, I can't wait for more info on the PS3 version!  I've been dying for a PS3 DDR for two years now.  I'm so glad it's finally gonna happen!

Konami, it seems as though you would have a few guaranteed sales of HP2 if only you'd release it on its own.  I know we, on these forums, represent a very tiny portion of the gaming community (understatement of the year) but I think we bring up good points, and you should definitely listen to us!  :)  Seriously though, sell HP2 without the pad!  Thank you in advance.

I am also waiting for the game to be released without the mat.  I already have more mats than I know what  to do with, for PS2 and Wii, so I hope it gets separated soon!  Anyone know of a release date?

OMG, DROOL!  Wine Red is my favorite song on the Snakes on a Plane soundtrack (one of the best soundtracks EVER!) and I'm SOOOOO happy it's in DDRX!!  Wow, I'm very impressed with the song list so far!  Can't wait to get my hands (or feet?) on this game!

I was wondering the same thing.  There have been V-Rare CDs with every release except for SN2 and Hottest Party.  V-Rares were made for those games, but they weren't preorder (or even purchase) bonuses.  You had to get them by other means.

So, I second Joethezombie's question:  Does anyone know about V-Rares this year? 

I've used the Eyetoy with DDR many times.  I have to say that it is pretty fun if you just let go and have fun with it.  Don't take it seriously.  It's a great way to have a good time with a bunch of people.  Especially with the minigames included.  No, it's not perfect, and you most likely won't get perfct scores when playing hands and feet mode, but at least Konami included something different.

In my opinion, it's a welcome addition to the DDR series.  Use it if you want, or don't.  Simple as that. But make sure that whatever you decide, have fun with it because that's what DDR is all about.

Hmm, the size of the screen is just fine with me.  My main problem is glare from other lights in the arcade. I'm 6 feet tall (which I would think is only a little above average) and otfen times I can't see the screen unless I hunch over... :(  Maybe the angle of the screen can change a bit? Or they could use some kind of anti-glare coating on the glass?  Overall, it's not a big deal.  But I'd definitely love to see that addressed in the future!

Hey Silvercube, I think there is a Karaoke Revultion that has a bit of DDR included.  Karaoke Revolution Party or something like that.

I'm more of a casual gamer now, but I still aim for AAs whenever I can.  I'm too "white" to freestyle, although I wish I could make freestylin' look cool.  I mainly play for fun, with a bit of PAing in the back of my mind.

I love playing doubles!  It helped me get a lot better at crossovers back in the day.  I play doubles a little bit at home, but my pads travel too much.  When I go to the arcade, I play doubles 50% of the time.  If I could play on a machine with joint premium or doubles premium enabled, I would play doubles 100000% of the time!  It's the best way to generate crowds!

Wow, that's such a cool idea!  I never have anyone to play DDR with, but if I ever happen to play alongside anyone, I will definitely suggest this cool and freaky doubles mode!

I think the SN2 V-Rares and the Hottest Party V-Rares were only given out at one of the game conferences last year (or was it early this year?).  As far as I know, they were not given out as preorder bonuses anywhere.  Which is what makes them so special to us this time around... I'm dying to at least know the track list for the SN2 V-Rare.

I have to agree with the Guitar Hero rants.  I was initially excited about the first game when it came out.  Now that it's hugely popular among everyone, I really couldn't care less about it.  That, and I don't really like metal or rock music...  There's something about the following that GH and Rock band have that I just can't stand.  I guess it's due to them all thinking that GH vs. Rock Band is the only thing to talk about in the music games genre.  Hello?!  What about the all of the awesome games that paved the way for these new ones?   What about Guitar Freaks?  WAAAY more fun!  Anyway... that's just my opinion, and I'm glad it meshes well with most of yours.
